About Sarah
Are you ready for this?
“This” is the truth about what you are doing that is getting in your way. I was once asked this question and in the space between the question and the answer I felt dread. When the truth was delivered, I realized I could take it. I think we can – I think we can handle the hard truths in our lives.
This is the seed of change within us – it was for me. It starts slowly, almost imperceptibly inside, we do not see it in ourselves or others until one day, in one session, we find ourselves or we hear our partner say something different. The tenor of that change generally goes from anger and defensiveness and righteousness to questioning and curiosity.
So, are you ready for this? Are you ready to make a leap in the way you relate with yourself and/or your partner? Or at least, is part of you ready? All it takes is willingness- willingness to be uncomfortable and curious and it starts with a hope that things could be better even if you have no practical evidence in your social circle, parent’s relationship, other family dynamics, or in politics. There is another way for us to show up on this planet- with love and compassion for self and others rather than in anger and divisiveness. I believe that we can make a choice every moment to relate to our circumstances with openness rather than bitterness.
Are you ready to take the leap to full respect living – for yourself, your children (if you have any), your partner, your work, our world? This means stopping harsh, reactivity and defensiveness now.
Imagine going about in the world feeling comfortable in your own skin, kindness between your ears, and a partner who is happy being connected to you. I will work with you as a fellow traveler. This is what I work toward with everyone.
Are you ready for this? I hope you say, “YES!”
Services
Couples Therapy
I am a Certified Relational Life Therapist. I have been training with Terry Real for the past ten years and learn something new every day. I am direct and honest “joining through the truth” of the dysfunction in your relationship. As fellow traveler and coach, I will teach you a new way of being in relationship if you are willing.
Individual Therapy
It is my honor to work with individuals who want to transform their relationship to themselves; cultivating greater self-awareness, claiming their inherent worth, and healing wound from their past.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy method I use for people struggling with single incident traumatic events. I typically use it in the course of our therapy as indicated.
Also, if you are seeing a therapist who does not do EMDR and you want to try it, I am happy to work with you for a short time with the understanding that you will resume with your referring therapist.
Somatic Experiencing
I have done some training in Somatic Experiencing, learning how to work with the nervous system to bring more ease and relief from trauma symptoms. I can help you get more connected in your body, reduce fight, flight or freeze responses, and understand yourself better by connecting emotions to what is going on in your body.
Fees
53-minute individual therapy sessions - $180
90-minute couples or trauma therapy sessions - $270
I am considered out-of-network with all insurance. I would be happy to furnish you with a receipt to submit for out-of-network benefits if you have them. Insurance claims require that I give you a diagnosis.

I have a client portal through my electronic health record called SimplePractice. The client portal is a HIPPA compliant way for us to connect to schedule appointments, complete paperwork, and send messages regarding your care.
